Our Story

Retorno del Colibrí is a private nature reserve located near the village of Anaime in Tolima, Colombia, in the Central Andes.
The reserve is a restoration project created by the Espitia family with the goal of recovering and protecting the Andean forests of the region while sharing their extraordinary biodiversity with visitors from around the world.
Over time the reserve has become a special destination for birdwatchers and bird photographers seeking unique species of the Central Andes, particularly hummingbirds.
Today visitors from many countries come to the reserve to experience its remarkable bird diversity, peaceful Andean landscapes, and exceptional opportunities for observing and photographing birds.
